Reflection can help you to explore and learn more about your inner self. Reflection can also help you to catch glimpses of your true strengths. During this week you might choose to take some time to reflect on July 4th.
What does July 4th mean to you? For the United States, this is the 236th year since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which helped to form the United States. As a collective we have come to honor this holiday in ways that allow us to gather together, celebrate and observe our freedoms and independence.
How will you be celebrating your own freedom and independence? From what are you free? How do you honor freedom within your own life? I would urge you to look within and begin to honor those parts of yourself that truly know what freedom means. But, I would also look to those parts of yourself that may feel restricted, confused and powerless.
Questions you might ask:
- How am I enabling myself to live my life as I choose?
- How am I disabling my own progress?
- How can I serve others who might need my help to live more freely?
- What have I willingly sacrificed to lead my life as I choose?
The fireworks this weekend connect us with each other and can be a conduit for connecting with our joy, passion and drive. After all, the fireworks are best experienced when we can feel them in our hearts! Opening to feeling can give you a fuller and grander appreciation to your life. By developing a connection to your heart, you can more fully participate and engage in life and allow liberty and happiness in!
