Within Numerology each year has a particular number associated with it. This number describes the general mood, opportunities and experiences of the year. 2010 is Universal Year #3. Each person also has a Personal Year number as well. We'll talk about the symbolism of the number 3, but in order to understand it's true significance for your life, you'll need to develop a personal relationship with it.
This year can offer you an abundance of experiences and opportunities related to joy, abundance, grace, gratitude and giving. However, it can also offer experiences related to grief, misunderstanding, mistrust, and zealousness. Your experiences really depend on you and your reactions to the events and situations that transpire around you. Having an understanding of your material around projection and shadow can be of great value as you look at your own reactions.
Throughout January, in order to connect with joy and something larger than myself I've been working with a mantra. I've been using it as both a meditation and a way to work with with my own personal material. To connect with joy and the other experiences related to this year, you may wish to work the Enneagram, Runes, Tarot or other favorite tool. If you use the Tarot, then you could work with the the Empress and the other 3's in the deck. You might choose to do art around the imagery or feeling of the card.
At certain times during 2010 you may feel an intense inner pull that encourages you to spend more time being creative, socializing or just having fun. You may also feel the urge to disengage from the practical and ordinary. To some extent a change in your routine can be good for you. Grab onto those opportunities that help you to change and grow. But, pay attention to those moments when you want to engage in activities to avoid looking at your big issues, such as relationship, social, family, political and financial questions. Having a willingness to look at your issues can help you to better prepare and connect with the rewarding opportunities that may come up during the year. I've been working with the my own relationship issues and it has helped me to see some important personal patterns around being misunderstood and acquiescence. It's really helped me to see the importance of being clear and to get a better idea of how I function around both joy and grief.
Find your own way to understand how the symbolism of the 3 plays out in your own life. A good place to start might be through simply being creative. Create, celebrate and enjoy your life when the opportunity comes, but be aware of your own true personal needs and the needs of others as well. It is important to not become disinterested and disconnected. This year can really be a vital time for you to find methods to open to possibility, rather than getting lost in the need for celebration, indulgence or denial.
